Jonathan D. Miles, age 20 of Haleyville was involved in a vehicular accident on County Road 37, five miles north of Lynn. His vehicle left the roadway and struck Hazel Wakefield, age 83 also of Haleyville resulting in her being taken by helicopter to UAB where she died at noon the same day. The Alabama State Troopers are investigating the case.
